Amazon’s New Kindle Fire with Stunning HD Display

Amazon will supposedly reveal later this month its new Kindle Fire with stunning HD display. There are leaked photos of Amazon’s new device from sources suggesting the all-new design of the Kindle Fire.

The most significant change is that the buttons have also been completely redesigned and reshuffled, and the stereo speakers are now located at the top-rear of the device.

Tech Specs of the Amazon New Kindle Fire

The new Kindle Fire is with a brand-new design, and come with 2 versions: 8.9 inch and 7 inch. Both tablets will be more comfortable to hold and lighter than the previous generations. Before we detail features of the new Kindle Fire, let’s first take a look at the tech specs of it.

*  HD screen with a resolution of 1920×1200 (same quality as Google’s new Nexus 7)

*  2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor (better than Google’s new Nexus 7)

*  2GB of RAM (same as New Nexus 7)

*  WiFi and cellular connectivity

*  Front-facing camera but no No rear camera

*  16GB, 32GB, or 64GB storage (64GB option is more than Google is offering on new Nexus 7)

*  Android 4.2.2 Jellybean with heavy Amazon customizations

The biggest feature of the new Amazon Kindle Fire is the 1920×1200 HD display which is capable of playing movies and TV shows in up to 1080p high definition. At 254 ppi, the display on Kindle Fire HD 8.9″ is high enough quality that individual pixels are indistinguishable to the human eye.

Sources claim that Amazon may stagger the tablet launches like it did last year, releasing the 7 inch models first and then the 8.9 inch version in November. Amazon revealed the Kindle Fire HD devices on September 6, 2012 and made them both available for pre-purchasing. The 7 inch tablet didn’t become available until September 14 followed by the 8.9 inch model on November 20.

According to the screens, the volume buttons, power buttons and speakers appear to be mounted on the back, leaving the face of the tablet void of anything but the screen and the front-facing camera. So far this tablet design appears to be Amazon’s best yet, especially with the Qualcomm chip and double the RAM. We’re eager to see how these two tablets perform in benchmarks this fall.
